How about having the rank of each member next to their name in the member list? Or maybe we should call it the “order number” instead of rank, because we can designate which property is used to order the members. I don’t know about everyone else out there, but I like to see where I am on the list. :p
Member no. 676, I’d say probably round page 200?
I really think that’d kinda just influence more worthless posts. Hey, LQQK at me I’m number 17! Yay! etc.
Is it really needed? Nah IMVHO.
It’s kind of hard to implement as well; and involves a lot of DB calls; = More Database server stress = Bad.
So your wanting a lil number beside their name indicating whos got the posts posts eh? Why? too lazy to count it your self.. 😉 I dont think its needed.
Just use page number as a rule of thumb. Seriously, anything over a hundred posts and you’re probably pretty active, or were for a period of time anyway.
Oh and by the way, I’m number one! 😀
*backs down as his idea is beaten into the ground with a sledgehammer* I accept my defeat.
Jeff, now that were on the topic of numbers relating to members, I noticed that you’re user id is 2. Who is 1?

An un-used administrative account. It’s created when the forum is setup.
Thank’s Mr. Jeff for informing us 😀
Unused, you say?!
Haha, I saw that coming. 😉
