^ Is this possible? and possible to do it for free? I want to record audio from a YouTube Video. Thanks for the help 😉
Goldwave is a good program, but to do it for free, you have to use the trial version… I don’t know the exact limits on the trial version, if it is a one time use, or only can record five min. I think it would be worth checking out.
I don’t know if that’s exactly what I’m looking for Goldwave seems like an audio editor that can “Record audio from cassettes, vinyl records, radio, etc. through your computer’s line-in”
Thanks for you concern though. 😉
Use Audacity and set the Recording device to be your sound card, and either the “Wave” input or the “What You Hear” input. Make sure no other sounds are played while you’re recording, and then choose File > Export as MP3. (To edit MP3 Settings, go to either File or Edit > Preferences (I can’t remember exactly where it is) and go to Import / Export Settings. Choose the bitrate for MP3 (I recommend anything above 192kbps))
Hey Spike thanks a lot that did the trick!
Glad to have helped. 🙂
