As far as I’m concerned there is no way to view old display names for an old account. I believe MSN Messenger does not store them.
There is a way to prevent it from happening again though. You can download Messenger Plus! and get the NickMem plugin which saves nicknames on command, or logs them as they change, and you can also restore a saved nickname.
I think you could also get older ones if you use logged/message history, as nicknames are stored with messages.
Does MSN Messenger automatically log messages, or would you have had to click “save conversation”? And, I just need the name of an old display name, because I forgot it, so I’m probably not going to get MSN Plus or anything.
