Red X with Java Messenger

When I try to use Yahoo Java Messenger from this site :

http://messenger.yahoo.com/ .

This is what happens. I click on the link . A box opens up and asks me if I want to sign in as that id or a different one. I try to sign in and It says its done at the bottom but I get a X in the top left hand corner.

Anyone have any idea? I have the latest Java enstalled.

You need to install the Java Runtime Environment.

Might be your Internet Explorer Settings, or possibly a firewall blocking the java applet
