Ok I changed the startup picture on aim with reshacker it worked fine. Changed the big smiley set in bitmat area, works fine, changed medium size, worked, changed the normal size, worked, but then I realized I changed the normal size to purple so I changed it to blue and then saved and BAM! now it doesnt work. does that “AIM has encountered a problem and will have to close” thing! how do I make it work!!??!?!?
{Mod edit – Screaming your subject titles at everyone kinda sucks man. Don’t sweat it though, I took care of the all caps for you this time.} – Mr.S

Participantwell first which version of AIM are you running, cause that might make a difference (although I doubt it). then which set in particular are you talking about? in 5.2.3292 there seems to be five separate sizes of smiley sets
BITMAPS 1004/1005 are really small, then it gets bigger progressively through 1006/1007, 1008/1009, 1010/1011, then the really big ones are in 1012/1013. which ones do you mean by “the normal size”?EDIT: I went with bitmap 1008 (which is the middle size set that gets displayed in the IM box smiley menu) and changed all the yellow to just white, worked just fine when I signed on. so I signed off and changed all the smiley faces to white, worked just fine when I went on. no problems. so…. did you change anything else?

Memberno.., and yes what I meant by “the normal size” is the one that shows up in the smiley menu. I changed biggest then, another one smaller then the menu sized one and it worked. Then I changed the menu size one again and now it doesnt work

Participantok so which version are you on? i’m not sure how that would affect the new 5.5 versions, but it doesnt cause any problems in 5.2.3292
