MemberValentine´s Day can be as happy or sad as we want to make it.
We can look at the commercial side of it, and realize how pointless is to measure your love in one present a year. We can look at it from the romantic side and make it the most special day for our loved one.
Personally I am not sure where I stand at. On the one hand, I hate being caught by the cheap and awful jewlery madness, or the endless love cards obsession, but, on the other hand, I like being surprised by a loving present, even if it is not “just because” but TV commercials driven.
Does anyone have a special point of view or just an idea that he/she wants to share regarding this date?

MemberHi Sciencefeeling, everyone…well Valentines Day is just around the corner…2 weeks. I do feel this is a special day..although everyday should be special in expressing love to your sweetie but this day is set aside to openly express how much you care. It can be simple or elbraote according to your budget. But I do think some sort of gester should be made. And not only from him but from her also. For me I love little simple things. Little surprises are so nice like little notes or cards put around the house or giving throughout the day. A privite dinner for two at home or dine out. A picnic by the fireplace maybe. A single rose can be just as romantic as a dozen. A homemade chocolate dessert can be enjoyed just as well as a box of expensive candy. I think what most people love about Valentines is the time one puts into what they do for the person…not really the gift. The actual “showing” how much you care and appreciate that person. Try this Valentines Day to put more thought and time into what you do instead of just going out and spending big money on that person. There are many holidays and b-days to do that for. Really make that person feel as special as they are to you. Time is a sacarfice now days with our busy lifes. And if we keep it simple and stop to smell the roses instead of buying out the store…I think this Valentines Day just might be one of the most special ones you both have ever shared…:)
By the way…Happy Valentines Day Everyone…:)

ParticipantPersonally I am not a fan of Valentines day…I think the love and friendship expressed on Feb 14 should be expanded to every single day of the year. You don’t have to buy fancy things, there are plenty of more creative ways to show your love then with money. Just lending a helping hand is enough to make someone feel good. And furthermore, Valentines day isn’t just for those in a relationship…give friends a smile and surprise them. Being nice to friends and family and even strangers all year long is better than putting on a show for one day.
Happy February First everyone…have a wonderful day!!! 😀

As I was reading some inpiration lines from a motivational site, I found this nice ‘short’ essay, named Loving a Human Being. I am amazed how well it describes my conception of love…and I wanted to share the link to the english version with you…hope you enjoy, believe me, it is worth the reading…
