MemberOk so I was talking to someone for a long time and one day I go to IM them and get “The message for said user was not saved. Please verify user name and try again.” OK so I figured that the screen name has been deleted. So how do I go about locating other screen names for this person??? Please help… kisses kitty:mad:

MemberI cant help you in locating that person but can suggest something and its this are you sure that you manually typed this persons id in correctly ( if you havent got it in your friends list that is ) because that happens to me when I types in an incorrect id and it doesn’r exsist. The other thing is to check the profile and that will more than tell you if it doesnt exsist also.
The only other option you really haves well one im sure of the other im not someone may be able to tell you this, the one im sure of is to go back into the chat room you met this person and dont be stalky either ask around or wait to see if someone talks like that person. the other option that im not sure about is sending an email in that name..if it was added onto a parent id the parent id may get the mail like I say im not too sure on that. Maybe oreo or other mods may know about this.
sorry I cant be of more help

MemberGo to http://members.yahoo.com and type part of the screenname in the “Find People On Yahoo!” text box, and select from the drop down list “Yahoo! ID” instead of Real Name. See if you can find them through that…

Memberwell, it sounds like the person discontinued the Alias if you’ve tried all of those things. You can try to do a search on the partial name in Yahoo! “People Search” from the main Yahoo! Page. However, if the person has chosen to keep their profile out of the search, it won’t work. E-mail won’t send to an alias, it will only send to the main ID. Unless you can find the person, the way travellerscross suggested, I think you are out of luck unless this person writes you again. Perhaps, this is actually a person you already know and the wanted to create an ID to find out info, then got rid of it. Sorry I can’t think of anything else to try. I hope things work out for you. 🙂
EDIT: Hey NICK!! You beat me to it!! [:P]
