I have forgotten the answer to the secret question of my yahoo account, is there any way to retrieve the answer?
I’m not talking about sending yahoo a “secret answer” reset request and getting a new one, I just want to get the old answer exactly as I typed it when I first created the email account.
I can log in to my email, I have the password and everything, it’s just that I want my old answer because I recently visited some websites, forums etc. again that I used to frequent but I forgot the password to those pages (I used the same one for all of them). All I know is that the password was the same like the answer to the secret question of my email account. I already sent yahoo a mail through my account, asking them if they could re-send me the “secret question” answer but I just got an automated response telling me if I want them to reset my answer I have to provide them with the current one first…so that wasn’t much help.
any ideas?
When you joined those forums did you receive a confirmation email?(password included)what I mean is the password/s may be stored in the email account you used when you joined up with those forums/sites etc.
I don’t think it’s possible to get the answer any other way unless you stored it on your computer or email account/s.
Same thing happened to me. i forgot my password and the answer. I had to create another account and this time i wrote the information down.
thanks for your replies tinethle and angel.
you’re right it’s possible that the password is stored in those email accounts (i used various emails for anonymity reasons) back then. however i don’t remember those accounts anymore since i just created them, in order to sign up on diffrent pages. that’s why I’m trying to retrive the password through the answer of my yahoo secret question.
