ParticipantA great addition to this Forum would be a shop!! Where you need to get certain amounts of money…. Well it’s fake money.. Everytime you post you can get like 5 dollars. And when you get enough… Let’s say 50 dollars.. And you can buy the Title Changer.. So you can change you title… anyways that’s just an example.. There’s alot of things that a SHOP can do 😎 !!

MemberBut there are other ways that you can get a title changer….did you see the posts about the premier membership??

MemberAzNSoldier, we already do this – except that we don’t use a ‘shop’ with ‘money’. But, if you have 10 posts or higher you can have a custom avatar and signature.

MemberPlease don’t beat me up DJ/Oreo, but I think it’s a pretty good idea. It’s a nice way for kids who can’t send in money to be able to do some stuff a premier member could do. Like every time your reputation goes up, you could earn points or something.

MemberI have seen forums that do this. All it does is promote spamming. “Who can post the most and get this feature first and have the highest amount of money (points)”. It doesn’t work too well.

ParticipantYes people do spam for this but you can add a 30 second waiting period before they post or if you see them posting un-resonable stuff you can always take their stuff away such ass taking all their money for being used in a bad way or even removing the things they bought. It would be a really great idea though.
I already know about Premiere members but this would also be a great way.February 6, 2005 at 8:47 pm #110989Arsenal
ParticipantOr just ban the spammers. I like this it’s a great idea. I’ve seen it work great.

ParticipantDon’t worry about spammers. The staff have a strict policy, and regardless of their intentions, they can and will be delt with accordingly.
With that said, don’t let ‘spammers’ be the lead example as to why this idea should not fly.

As for changing your user title, you could become a premier member. 😉 Having a custom user title is one of the benefits of being a premier member, besides viewing the site without ads.March 6, 2005 at 5:03 am #110987chikenkicker

why when it would be just for a title i mean the person would be paying a certain amount of points already to be able to change their title why not let them add a small font change thats probably not gonna be noticed as much as the post itself?

MemberI have joined another forum that has this virtual age thingy from when you joined like once a week you grow a age or when you post and alos they have points 10 for one posts 15 for making a topic then 75 for really long posts then you can add stuff and change your title and it is 50,000 points to change your username and you can buy little thingys under your name like badges and stuff. Also, like picture and they say Items under your name and they are there.

MemberI am sure that works really well with that particular forum. Things like that really don’t fit with every forum. Different forums bring different things…I am still not very moved for a shop or anything like that here. I just don’t think it fits with this site…IMHO.
