For some reason my MSN keeps sigining in and out making it impossible to have a convo, I have tryed several accounts on the old messenger and 7.0 and nothing stops it. Any ideas?
when I said old MSN I meant windows messenger
Welcome to BigBlueBall.
Can you give us some more information about your system please? Such as, are you running a firewall, what type of Internet connection do you have?
The more information you give us, the better we can understand your problem.
Have you tried doing a clean install of MSN Messenger? And does the problem occur with the current version of MSN Messenger 6.2?
As a side note, you can use the edit button above your post to avoid having to double post. Thanks.
i dont have a proper firewall but I do have SP2, I have a 512 broadband connection and I havent tryed 6.2 but am doing now
It appears to be working now on 6.2 my 7.0 was patched and worked until about an hour ago, i’ll have to assume MSN has done something new to stop ppl using it
I don’t think MSN has stopped people from using 7.0, otherwise other users would probably have reported problems.
You have to remember that 7.0 is still in Beta, therefore this could explain the problem you were having, as a Beta version is never going to be as stable as a final release.
The BETA alone will not create frequent disconnections like this. Out of curiosity, which version of the BETA were you running?
i’m having the same problem
it keeps saying your connection with the messenger service has been lost, reconecting in … and then there’s a countdown
i have sp2, msn7.0.0205
its really getting anoying now
