I was just wondering if anybody knew what caused when someone is away and they keep signing on and off and on and off.. like every 5 mins or so. Is this caused by a router of some sort? or simply being idle? My friend has this problem only when she has an away msg up. Please reply.. This is really ticking me off.
No there is something wrong.. They get disconnected every 5 mins.. but only when their away.. They never get disconnected when their not away.. They also have cable internet so its not likely to get knocked off.. She has a wireless modem and the main router is on the other side of the house. Could this have caused this? I mean come on.. every 4-10 mins she signs off.. then 10-15 mins later she signs back on but shes still idle and away.
same problem with me. someone said it was my router that was causing the problem so now i reset my router everytime i sign online and then my aim doesnt kick me off but my router is at my computer. that would be a drag if your friend would have to go all the way to the other side of the house just to reset the router. she can try it tho or he.
