Does anyone out there know of a good smiley program compatible with AIM 5.5? I had the ATP Smiley Studio, but it was slow and I didn’t like the copy paste. The Smiley Bot at SmileySpot.com won’t install on my computer and the Smilee program at http://users.mnemonic.net/freeezer/smilez.html is exactly what I am looking for, but it screwed up my AIM (couldn’t send anyone messages). If someone could tell me where to find a plugin compatible for 5.5 that’d be awesome. I’m beginning to regret upgrading, but now that i’ve finally deleted most of the bloat and ad-ware I don’t want to go back to 5.2.
Ok, I just tried the Smiley Update at SmileySpot.com and it screwed up my display and only added one smiley set. I had to uninstall and use the backup AimRes.dll I had made. Does anyone out there even use the smilies anymore??? I miss the BigBlueBall Smiler.
I went to smiley central because I love all there smileys. Unfortunately the other person has to have them to but there are millions to chose from litterally you can even make your own customized ones. I love it!
I am looking for something that uses the smilies from AOL, so the other person doesn’t have to install anything.
http://www.awaybox.com/ has a smilie tool built into its AIM Expression. It installs with all the other features too, but it adds the smilies right into AIM.
