Does anyone here use Smilez? I just installed the most recent beta today to use wtih the most recent 5.9 version of AIM. When I attempt to download (get) the smileys, they never seem to download. It seems as if it always times out. Were the smiley sets removed from the server? I turned off my firewall to ensure it wasn’t blocking the connection so that’s not the issue. Any ideas?
Just use the codes to use them from http://www.aimsmiley.com if you are talking about the AOL ones.
Same has been happening for me lately too, it’s the AIM/AOL server. Try it again a little later…restart AIM and try again.
I think it’s because the servers are being flooded with bug reports and complaints about Triton, so they’ve had to cut resources in some areas.
