Ok I made a format today and then reinstalled every single thing I had before. However, whenever I connect to the internet, there seems to be a download, I see that the bytes receiver thingy is running like crazy, but I dont know whats downloading! no , its not live update of antivirus cause I ahvent installed that yet, and its not window update either. where can I see where this thing come from?
i suspect its something with spyware or something cause it keeps dowloading all the time but I dont see what it is.
Go to your command prompt
start>run>type “cmd” with out the quotes
At the command prompt type “netstat -b -v” this should tell you what programe is running off what port and where the connections have been made to.
Hope that helps
The exact thing happened to me too after the format.
Its spyware alright, use your spybot and lavasoft ad-aware and clean them up, you might also come up with a spybot worm.
Also, take a look at your installed programs from the ad/remove programs icon in the control panel. If you find anything suspicious, like Webrebates and such, then have fun deleting.
The fellow Greek guy was right 😉 It was spyware after all, now its all removed and clean again. Thanks.
