Does anybody know if there is an old version of Yahoo that has sound alerts when sending and receiving messeges when the chat window is in focus? Does the new one support it? if so How do I enable it?
Thanx:DBilboslady – I’m not quite sure what you’re asking… Are you saying, that when you are typing to someone in a pm, and looking at the pm, you want a sound to play whenever you hit return???
yahoo doesnt play sounds when I hit send or when my buddy sends me a message in regular messanger The only time it plays a sound is when the yahoo is minimized
:confused: not sure if this is what you are asking but it is where I would look for a fix—you might try looking at the perferences alerts and sounds. make sure you have all of the sounds on. you can also choose what sounds are for what like the annoying BUZZ!! changed to something not so ofensive!! you also can use other wav files besides what yahoo gives you to use
what I ment is while during chat it doesnt play sounds when window is up but when its minamized it does…i would like to have sounds when the window is up and when I send a messege

Hey, just send a message to one of your friend in the IM box and click outside of the box (don’t minimize the IM box ). I mean either on the empty desktop area or somewhere else but not on the IM box. Then wait for his/her reply. In that case, Yahoo! does play a fancy sound. Tring! So it does play sounds when the IMs are not minimized also.
