Spam Bot or Virus?

I was on YIM and a random person just IMed me with a simple smiley.

It was a 😉 smiley.

After fighting to communicate with it for a while I gave up. Sorry if I seem paranoid but I’ve heard of worms transferred through dumb things like that.

Has anyone heard of a worm or spam bot doing this?

This is a typical message sent by a Yahoo spam/porn bot.

I have received thousands of these types of messages from bots. The only solution that I know of is to either add them to your ignore list in Messenger or put them in your Super Iggy Bin in Y!tunnel Pro.

If anyone else has a better solution than this. Please post, as this is a very annoying problem.

Another thing to do is to just simply configure messenger to not allow any messages from anyone who is not on your friends list….that way you will not receive messages from porn bots or strangers.
