Everytime I logg into my Windows account, A window comes up stating: ERROR: “you do not have specific permissions to remove”. So, I click OK. This has been happening for about 4 months now. I tried doing “system restore”, but even at my earliest restore point, it still pops up. It’s dreadfully annoying, and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I used ad-aware to see if it it was ad-ware or some sort, but it still did not work… 🙁 Any help would be appreciated, I have Windows Xp Home Edition if that will help…
That’s odd. Sounds like there’s something starting up when you logon which is attempting to remove some sort of software on your PC. You’ve tried using Ad-Aware, what about Spybot Search and Destroy? If not, I’d advise using that.
Also, do you have administrator priviliges?

Yes, I have administrator priviliges… I have also tried Spybot Search and Destroy… 🙁 This pop-up had came up for the very first time when I had troubles shutting down windows, and it has came up on log on ever since… 🙁
Start > Run > Msconfig. Remove anything that you don’t need executing at log-on.
if what david said didn’t work. take a look at the registry.
(URGENT: don’t do this if ya dont know what your doing)
start > run > regedit
hkey_local_machine > software > microsoft > windows > current version > run
Thanks David! My computer challanged mind thanks you. 🙂
