i remember a few weeks ago i learned how to see everything that starts up when i turn my computer on by clicking start, run and typing in something but i forgot when what to type i was something like “reconfig” any help?
U mean msconfig
U mean msconfig
well msconfig works only for win9X/ME systems… win 2000 and XP dont have msconfig… for editing their startup options, you need to look into registry or try some 3rd party softwares like system mechanic or Tweak Now Power Pack

XP has msconfig. I know, I just ran it. 😉
You can use MSConfig on Windows 2000 by getting a copy of the file from Windows XP and placing it in the: %windir%system32 Folder.
Used the same way as the XP version, from the start menu, click run and type in msconfig and hit enter to launch. No rebooting required.

LB is right, msconfig works for XP, I use it all the time. Just go to run, type it in and boom, you’re in action.
