MemberIf you want to stop booters, I would use ytunnel and Yahoo at the same time, then login with the Java version on the same name as you are logged in Yahoo.
The only way to boot java is to use a java lagg but if you have ytunnel open while you are on java ytunnel will stop any java lagger out there so you will be unbootable………..

MemberI am with Freddy on this one all the way. Not only will you save resources by using a chat client, you will find more security, stability, and extra features as well. Check out his site for a list of chat clients suitable for Yahoo!

MemberI explain 10 times an hour why Messenger is bootable, and if you searched this forum you’d find numerous explanations from me.
Y!Tunnel doesn’t work on heuristics, its dumb. It’s not got anything over a client in that department. Its worse off, and you’d know if you find and read my explanation.
Some boot happens at the server, no one has control over this.

Memberhello, I am dorkus_amongus25 and I use Yahoo! Messenger with Y!TunnelPro 272 and if you say that Y!Tunnel can be booted then I welcome you to join me in chat and prove it to me. I have never been booted on 272 while I am cloaked. (alot of people that use Y!Tunnel dont even know what cloaking is.) If you use Y!TunnelPro and are still being booted then it is most likely a failure on your part to setup the program properly. if you would like my suggestions on how to setup Y!TunnelPro, feel free to email me or join me in chat.

MemberWhy pay whatever the current fee is for Y!Tunnel, when using a chat client is free, and I still say people should read my posts about why Messenger is more bootable than Chat Clients.
And a “boot” that just disconnects you at server will take any program offline, you may not see it, because your program may implement automatic reconnect behind the scenes….

KeymasterI cannot find filter1.txt in Yahoo!messenger in YM 6 to add filter terms for booters. There is one filter1.enc. Is that the one to use in the new version? or there is something wrong with my messenger?
June 12, 2004 at 2:52 pm #80375zhugeliang
MemberYou could try opening that file to see if it is, and if you can’t open it or it isn’t the file, then you can make a filter1.txt yourself and put all the words you want filtered into that list. Just because there isn’t one already, doesn’t mean you can’t make one yourself. 😉

KeymasterI checked the new messenger on some other computers, and I found that they no longer have filter1.txt in Program FilesYahoo!messenger. Though it used to be there till the new messenger was in BETA state. May be the filtering of curse words is unfunctional for a while because it is still undergoing improvements. Yes that is true, they still change it very frequently eventhough it is out of BETA state. I updated it yesterday and evreything including PM window and chat room windows is smller in size now. and the buttons too seems to be a little smaller than before.
Neverthless, comming back to the topic, seems they learned technique of filtering boot codes from us and they have actually implemented it natively in a different file at Program FilesYahoo!messengercachefilters.xml. So I think it would be better to edit that file instead of creating filter1.txt as in the old messenger.
If someone finds out new boot codes that can be entered in filters.xml please post them here. Though there is already a topic on bigblueball.com listing boot coedes too filter, but there are a lot of new booter out everday and that topic is pretty much inactive as of now. And also this will be related to filters.xml instead of filter1.txt discussed on https://bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=517
