Lately I have been getting an eclipse of yahoo screen names I have never seen and know I do not have added on my list or ever accepted their request to add me. What is that about? Can anyone help me out?

Are you using Yahoo messenger or a chat client? I have been noticing on Yazak (chat client) that these ‘odd’ names appear on my list that I have never seen before and I’ve heard from a few sources that these are the other ‘profile names’ of people that may already be on your list… say you have someone on your list under the name “billy_x2106′ that you added, if he has other profile names, they may show up as well. I’m not sure if this could be the same problem you’ve been having or not, but I know that was the whole deal on my end, lol.
Do you mean they’re popping up with messages real fast too? Maybe you’re getting booted.
If not…then maybe it’s a weird effect of Yahoo! getting/testing Yahoo! Messenger to work along with Microsoft Live! Messenger.
This has been happening a wee while and yahoo are aware of it but to when it gets fixed..is anyones guess.
it is definately a yahoo server issue.
