A friend of mine on my list is always on Idle..he doesnt understand why, nor do I as he is online and chatting to me and it still shows IDLE..if he logs off then on again..it goes back..then it sticks again..showing him now 2 days idle and he has been active. Any suggestions or reasons as to why? I told him I was a member here and would ask! Thanks!! 🙂

First off, what version of Yahoo! Messenger is he on? I bet it is a bug in the new Messenger! Anyway, your Yahoo! Messenger statuses are held in the registery, so I bet somehow it has been tied up in there to continuosly show. Tell him to go to login/preferences and select Privacy. Under “Idle Status” tell him to uncheck it, exit messenger and restart it. That should wipe out the Idle function completely. If it still happens, his registery may be screwed up or Yahoo! installed incorrectly.
