Hi all.
I’m totally lost/bamboozled again ! :crying:I have about 300 subscribed TOPICS, and 3 subscribed FORUMS.
In my control panel “List Subscriptions” appears to show only my subscribed TOPICS (i.e. Threads) – not FORUMS !?
So – how/where can I change my subscription mode (No email, instant email, weekly email, etc) for these FORUMS ?
i see the forums i’m subscribed to a bit down on the page in MyBigBlueBall… is that not where you see yours?
though, i dont see a way to *change* subscription mode, only to unsubscribe from the forum entirely. hmm…
exactly. I see the simple “unsubscribe” link – but can’t find a way to change my email notification mode (which appears as my “default” one).
But of course I CAN change thios mode for subscribed TOPICS, so I figure surely the same should apply to Forums too …. but…. maybe not ? 🙁
I think you have to use “edit options” under your control panel in your “my bigblueball”. As far as I can tell, what ever choice of notification you make, it will apply to all threads etc. Did that help?

But in the Edit Options:Default Topic Subscription Mode
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Topic Subscription Mode: (then 5 various modes to pick from)This is simply to set your DEFAULT mode.
But you can still choose different notification modes for specific selected threads at the View Subscriptions page – but it appears there is nowhere to do the same for specific FOLDERS.
Sorry, I guess I must be a little confused. All I can do at that page is put a check mark in the “notification” box, or remove the check mark. I can’t figure out how to change the “notification type” for individual threads. I thought I could only select one notification method and it applied to all threads and folders. My appologies. I thought I had that part figured out.

Took me an age to fully figure out earlier – that you can tick the check box at the right for selected topics, THEN down at the bottom of the list is the same dropdown menu with the 5(?) options, where you can choose a different option for the threads you’ve selected.
(It’s pretty tough stuff all right 😉 )See what happens when you go seeking help? You end up giving it!!! Thank you for explaining the notification stuff. I’m off now to do some editing!!!!
Ian, was your initial question answered? I’m not entirely sure (maybe because it’s 12:30 AM here?).
There isn’t, as far as I know, any way to change your subscription options for forums unless you first unsubscribe, then subscribe anew.
