ill explain this as best as I can. sometimes when im away the icon in the system tray wil flash the away message picture and the mail picture which im fine with. but then ill notice its also flashing another picture. now I cant make out what it is but its like this black rectangle thats long ways (if that makes sense). im sorry I dont have more details or a screen shot to show you but im hoping someone knows what im talking about.
this has happened in every version of aim I have used so its not my 5.5. I tried looking in the help topics but I dont see anything about this image. I thought maybe it flashed when I was away and idle but a couple times ive only been away for 5 minutes and it still flashes.
this sounds a lot like the problem rock15478 was having in his posts. It might be a glitch AIM is having with its servers in that case, he claims its not a problem with his computer or program as well. you might want to check out that thread and see if it is the same thing.
it sounds a lot like to me that aol people are lazy and program bad and glitchy, cuz they always have something wrong (to our advantage sometimes)

I seriously doubt you could do any better than AOL can. Don’t take it the wrong way, I’m not saying I can do better either.
This doesn’t sound like that bad of a bug, and it actually sounds like alana changed the AimRes.dll and a resource is missing. (But that cannot be it if it happened on every version of AIM)
i was looking thorugh the icons in reshacker and found the image I was talking about. I just dont know what it means. hopefully someone here will. its in reshacker, icons 8 through 12.
