MemberSince we’re always posting about new versions of Google Talk and the new features that they have implemented, I’ve created this thread to encompass all new updates. I’ll try to keep this as up-to-date as possible.
The current version of Google Talk is 1.0.0.76. Here’s the only new feature I’ve noticed, a different icon in your taskbar when you’ve got mail.

A nifty feature I’ve been looking for since they’ve gotten rid of the Gmail Notifier :p

ParticipantYeah, that’s an awesome thing. Just making Google Talk better and better and better, without bloating it. The more unique features like this, the better. Only Google 🙂

KeymasterThat’s a cool little feature. I don’t really need it since I have the Gmail Notifier extension for FireFox.
I can’t wait until they add more features, but it seems it will be a while until they implement some full functioning features like webcam.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but for me all text seems to be italic now (was it like this before?)

KeymasterHmmm… just updated to 1.0.0.84 and I don’t have italicized text.

Oh, my fault, didn’t see that there or…I’m not quite awake yet. Heh. Either way, ward, you might want to try doing a fresh install of Google Talk.January 27, 2006 at 7:01 pm #133303ward
MemberI later realized it showed up on different places in Firefox too (where it shouldn’t be). I don’t know how or why, but it went away after restarting both of them.
It showed up after updating Google Talk, so I thought it was something new..sorry. Ignore my previous post.February 9, 2006 at 12:24 am #133294Spike
