The Self Changing Status Message

Well, this is weird. I log in as invisible and have for years. Everything that’s supposed to be off, is off. Upon logging in messenger and just sitting on my desk top, I show as invisible, no indication of being online. However, as soon as I enter a room, my smiley lights up and shines bright. Now if you refresh your list, the smiley will go back to gray (invisible). However, until everyone on my friends list refreshes I show as being available. What’s up with this? Any idea how to fix it?

Also if I go available and put up a status message no one sees it, unless they refresh. So apparently my status portion is not working. lol Anyone have any clues???

I don’t have the solution, but I’ve noticed that my status will also change if I enter a chat or PM window. It just picks them randomly each time I change windows. Hmmm…
