MemberWhat i’m wondering is how many people use the invisibility feature on a regular basis? I rarely go invisible, mainly because I think an away message works just as well most of the time. What about everybody else — is this a cool new feature, or something that you’ve only used once or twice?:)

Memberi think its pretty useful if your trying to avoid most of your buddies except for one or two. it lets you have conversations with people when you want to and you wont have others bothering you.

MemberI’m always invisible on AIM. I really only talk to one person anymore.

Memberuse it occasionally but stick to my uncreative, old standby away messeges

Memberhmm, interesting –for the people who use it almost every time, why bother even using AIM? (or do you just like to check up on everyone else on your list like me? lol 😉 )

It’s simple, they want to talk to a few people, and not have to deal with all their friends pointless ‘hi, hey, What’s up?, nothing…’ conversations.

MemberI wouldnt really know, I havent upgraded, but the whole idea of invisibility sounds dumb. if you dont wanna talk to some people, just block them or get over it…

Memberok… why the fuss? the invisibility feature is there; those who want to use it, use it, and those who don’t, don’t…

Memberi have aim but wat is the invisibility feature? I only thought there was a away message on here

Memberhmm.. on newer versions of AIM there is an eye icon right below My AIM in the buddy list. click on it, and the eye shuts and you go invisible.
newer versions of aim support screen name linking, and for all the s/n’s you link there will also be an eye near the bottom of your buddy list.

When invisible you can send messages to whomever you want, and they can reply to you, but you do not appear online to anyone, and the only way people can talk to you is if you im them first.

Memberi dont have no eye on my aim to get invisibility. Is this because I have aol 9 internet connection? Is this a older version of aim that is used on here?
