Well, this really isn’t a suggestion as much as a complaint….
I just get annoyed when I read a topic that is locked and see no real reason for it to be locked at all…. Maybe I’m just psychotic or something, but doesn’t anyone else get annoyed by that? Another thing that bothers me is how moderators can edit whatever post they wish…. I CAN understand editing for foul language though…..Anyway, they could completely abuse their powers and lock topics up and edit topics to fit what they want people to think about that person….. I guess that its just my completely paranoid part that is screaming out in fear…. Anway later everyone…….
err…. and ummmm…. no one censor or lock this post please

We dont like to lock the topics but some members abuse their privleges here and it becomes necessary to lock a topic.
Some topics are locked when it is obvious there is no point in leaving it open as a cure or more has been posted, often the only possible cure.
There is also a matter of policy that you agreed to on joining bigblueball that needs to be upheld.

you dont need to worry about mods over here deleting or editing your posts because this a great forum and jeff has hand picked the best members.

It would work better if that *special* word showed. But because this is a nice family bsed forum its better the way it remains.

Hesitant to revive this ancient thread 😉 .. but I’m a newbie, and figure best to keep one topic all together rather than fragmenting off into new threads.
And Amy, certainly no gripe with YOU :)… I was going to PM you about this, but figure such things are probably of wider interest, for worse or better.First time I was “edited” HERE{Post#8} surprised me, but was clearly explained, and, in hindsight, very justified.
But since then I see I’ve had OTHER posts edited (e.g. HERE){Post#59} with NO explanation.
So whatever I did “wrong” there – I have no idea (so can never impriove). 🙁
But worse still, I feel violated! I take responsibility for my own posts – but as soon as it shows to be edited then I assume I am NOT responsible for that post. It is PROBABLY “mainly” my words, but not necessarily – in fact I can no longer be sure that I indeed wrote ANYTHING there ! 😡Can someone explain what the deal is, please ?
