ParticipantI believe thumbs.db is just a hidden file that contains information for creating the thumbnail images for your folders in XP. It shouldn’t be needed when you move files as Windows should simply recreate the thumbs.db file in the new folder.

What the hell are you talking about? This has nothing to do with adware or spyware, nor is there any need to repair windows.

You are correct. ‘Thumbs.db’ files are generally marked as hidden files. If you want to show hidden files so you can delete the ‘Thumbs.db’ file, you can do so in the ‘Folder options’. Otherwise, simply ignore the error.
