Courtesy is a two-way street David. If behind me is a man that badmouths women in a public forum, then taking my sweet time is not rude its appropriate payback for his sexist view of women. Our forum comment was for women to give their thoughts on this guys post at the X Box 360 site regarding women, and that’s what I gave. If realizing that men think women are taking longer in lines than they are and glancing around to see if any men are looking at me with that ‘hurry up’ look means I am holding a grudge or unprepared, then I think you missed the meaning of my post. The post at X Box 360 was obviously intended to be taken light-heartedly as evidenced by the comment posted by the forum’s moderator in response to my reply there. He said, “Oh dear. We now have a woman who’s taken this one seriously too. I say we leave it….” Perhaps its a matter of what each person thinks is funny. I found my signature funny when it said “If a man speaks in the forest and no woman is around to hear him…is he still wrong?” Its meant as humor but some sensitive guy could take offense.
Maybe its not that women take longer…maybe men just have less patience? I think you should voice you views on ‘respect’ over at the X Box forum where it might do some good. I see very little disrespect going on here at BBB.

OMG I loved your post on the xbox 360 site and agree totally with everything you said above!
Funny how after your post they suddenly realised that, shock horror! The comments might be perceived as rude especially when started by a member of staff, they then have the audacity to make out you had no humour …
Oh well at least you tried and as far as I feel, girl you did an excellent job.

Update …
I emailed the editor, which did not have any effect. And was going to leave it there. Until I saw the response that Fancy received when pointing out that she found it rude. The reply she got from them was terrible if you want to read it go ahead but I am not going to post the response in this forum.
So I emailed the owners of the on-line magazine. Low and behold I have received an apology from the editor. They have now locked this topic and wish to pass on their sincere apologies to anyone that may have been offended.
So I have ;0)
