How can I transfer logs from an older version of Yahoo Messenger to the new version on another computer, and have them show up in the message archive?
I think if you Email them to yourself ,then open that Email on the PC with the newer version , then put them back were you got them from with the older version in the newer version that will work .
Where do the logs go in the newest version?
OK , well , firstly I’m still using 8.whatever it is so I dont know about the newest version . As far as I know , they are always in the same place . I’m also assuming when you say logs you mean your chat archives ? If it is your chats you want to transfer , go into your program files , click on yahoo , then messenger , then copy the profiles folder and paste it into an Email to yourself . Then on the other PC , delete the profiles folder and paste the one you emailed in there . If you delete that folder tho you will obviously lose any chats . I dont know what will happen if you just paste the old into the new . Copy both and save them someplace just to be safe and if what i said doesnt work or isnt what you want , then you will still have them when someone who knows what they are saying helps you !! 🙂
This is the newest version of Messenger…
