ParticipantWhy do you must make it more difficult for me to post replies on the forum? Removing Quick Reply saddens me, deeply. But more so.. this re captcha REEEALLLY pisses me off. I’ve had to refresh the damn image 10 times before I was able to find something I could actually read. We’re going to piss off the spammers, yes.. but your’re also pissing ME off! 😡

ParticipantI’m so confused on everything minus the quick reply thing, which I actually never used to begin with.

MemberOne would think we’d be exempt from the rule, lol.

MemberQuick Reply still works for me, thankfully. Especially since I am still on dial up and don’t like using the “Add Reply” Button(it takes too long).

KeymasterArgh! This is making me crazy!
I also have the “no quick reply + captcha” problem, and I can’t figure out why. The captcha is configured by usergroup, and each member can be a member of one primary and multiple secondary usergroups. I’ve checked the usergroups for myself and detn8r, and ALL usergroups we belong to do NOT require “human verification” (i.e. the captcha).
I also checked MrOats usergroups, and there is nothing special or different about his. It’s weird.
I’ll keep digging, but my goal is to ONLY require the CAPTCHA for users with less than 10 posts (the “Registered” usergroup). After 10 posts, they automatically get promoted to the “Vested” usergroup (and no longer get the captcha… in theory).

ParticipantUmmm, wow! I’m really confused. I’m using quick reply for this just to see what happens, but at least today I’ve not seen anything with Captcha when I try to respond to anything…..It’s been business as usual for me.

KeymasterOkay, so here’s a quick tally:
Quick reply works, and no CAPTCHA:
- Nessa
- patndoris
- MrOats
No Quick reply, and YES a CAPTCHA:
- detn8r
- Jeff
- Ven0m
Please let me know what YOU see. It will help me debug this unholy mess! 🙂

ParticipantAre all regular members suppose to run into this Captcha deal? I noticed on Sarahtowny’s post she mentions it.
I thought it was only for new.
