MemberWelcome to the forums sunpush 🙂
I feel guilty letting a thread drop off the bottom with zero replies! Are you still having a problem with this? Have you tried installing Trilllian 2.0 since it is now final (at least in name, it’s still a little buggy).

MemberI wonder if this has anything to do with Yahoo’s September 24, 2003 deadline?
Message found when attempting to load the Trillian forum:We are looking into an issue that may cause a crash or Invalid Password when trying to autoconnect to Yahoo. For now, you can turn off Autoconnect by going into the preferences for your Yahoo connections.
If you cannot get into Trillian to shut off Yahoo autoconnect, you can edit your Yahoo.ini file. Here is how:
Click Start -> Run, then type:
notepad c:program files trillianusersdefaultyahoo.ini (take the space out of the trillian part)
If the file does not load, open Windows Explorer and find your Documents and Settings directory, then your name, then the Trillian directory. There should be a Yahoo.ini file in there.
Change the line that says auto connect=1 so that it reads auto connect=0. If you are using more than one Yahoo connection, change the line for each connection.
Now save the file and reload Trillian. We are working on a fix for this problem.
The forums will be back up soon.

MemberGlad I saw this. I was wonder what was going on. I’m running v2.0 Pro Beta 2 and haven’t been able to connect to Yahoo for two days now.

MemberI think sunpush’s problem is different, since he was getting it a few days ago. There’s a sticky about the real yahoo problem at the top of the page.
If yahoo’s deadline for the changeover was the 24th then I guess it must explain the crash. To be honest, it’s fair that changes like this could stop trillian connecting, but it shouldn’t crash no matter what data yahoo’s servers send back.

MemberMy initial problem sorted itself out in a day. However, for the last 2 days yahoo has been impossible again. Also I am having loads of problems with trillian crashing. I have put aside my version 1.0 and have actually downgraded to .74 with the latest patches to stop the crashing but no luck. Is it true that 2.0 is crashing as well.

Yes, whenever I connect to the Yahoo Messenger network with Trillian Pro 2.0 the client crashes.

MemberI’ve been having the exact same problem. Yahoo will appear to be connected until I try to send someone a message and then this is what I get *** Lost connection to Yahoo! Messenger (couldn’t get header)! Error code 0.
so I reconnect and the same thing over and over and over again….every single time I try to send a message

KeymasterRead this news about the Yahoo connection problem
I’m running Trillian Pro 2.0 and can confirm that it causes an error. Interestingly, as long as I didn’t clear the error message, I could continue to use the other connections (IRC, MSN, AIM, and ICQ). As soon as I clear the error message, Trillian shut itself completely down.
In any case, this can be solved by turning off the Trillian’s auto-connect setting for your Yahoo connection. The article I referenced above explains how.

MemberI feel so much better. I’ve spent the past few days in the trillian forums trying to tell them I could not stay connected to yahoo and them having me try all sorts of ports and connection URLs stuff to no avail. They acted like there was something wrong with my machine. :p

MemberIt doesn’t crash for me.. It just plain doesn’t connect. I guess I should be greatful, but isn’t there a way around this. Although, I have Trillian 2.0, it’s not registered.. I installed a hack that goes around the login, but it won’t log in to yahoo! Anyone have any ideas?

MemberYou can always try asking on their forum. They are usually rather friendly to people that use hacked versions. Just send Ameoba a pm and he will help you out with whatever problem you are having.

MemberUnknown, I noticed lately that whenever there is a big program issue Cerulean Studios immediatly shuts down their forums to prevent people from posting. Alas, is the case at this moment, too, so no go on visiting their forum.
