MemberHello everyone, im new to the forums here but I have been haveing AIM problems and decided that this was a good place to get some help.
recently I have beeen getting an error that follows as below.
DEADAIM << this is in the title bar. ” A fault has occurred in AIM.”
“This fault may or may not have been caused by dead aim.”
“would you like to save a Diagnostic file” yes or no.if i say yes the window just pops up again and nothing happens. therefore when i say no. i get another message. that is specific to AIM it self.
AOL instant messenger has encountered..blah blah blah and needs to close. then it gives more information which looks like this.
Error Signature:
AppName: aim.exe Appver:0.0.0.0 ModName:oscarui.dll
ModVer. 0.0.0.0 Offset. 00006925I only get this error when I click the startbar tab for the AIM buddylist window to be restored from its minimzed state. and i use that alot. and its begining to become a problem. I have tried to reinstall AIM and DeadAim. but nothing works. I currently have AIM 5.2 and DeadAim3.2.8 and im running WINXP home. anyones help would be great thanks.

Memberit may be because that version of deadaim doesnt fully support aim 5.2. not sure tho since i havent tested it. im pretty sure that 3.2.8 only supported up to 4.8 though.

AFAIK, It was Fully supported in 5.1.XX, maybe moses1492, you should try to go back to 5.1?

MemberOk dave i’ll give it a try.
Just after i made my last reply I downgraded to 4.8 and i couldn’t even click the aim window it would give me a variation of the error i was getting before but i’ll try 5.1 and get back to you guys.
