upgrading

is there a way to keep an older version of messenger like 6.2 or even windows messenger without having to upgrade?

Not that i know of. why, you don’t want to upgrade? i have the new one and it isn’t that bad.

Try installing build 6.2.0208, which, last time I checked, is not yet affected by the required upgrade to the latest version. You can get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=12750556-d4d0-42d6-9f05-1ff3c799bb10&displaylang=en
