Hello to all! Long time since I last posted here. OK, here’s my problem. I can log to yahoo chat via Y!mlite, Yazak or plain Yahoo Messenger but I’m totally unable to get voice in chat. In Y!mlite it tries to connect to server and just says voice closed, in Yazak I get voice error 5 and in Yahoo Messenger I get problems connecting to vice server. trying to reconect. I haver tried reinstalling the tsp codec, scanning for any malware and no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
This is happening in all rooms and with all my ID’s. ohh and BTW I’m on Windows Vista 64 bit and have followed all instructions to be able to gain voice on chat and it was working ok until today that started giving me this problem.
I know a number of contacts who’ve had trouble recently. I’m not convinced a lot of it isn’t just the Yahoo servers, which you can do nothing about.
I am using 9 Beta on Vista Home Premium without any undue problems. I don’t use chat rooms, but I’m able to do 1-1 and voice conference ok. Just be sure you do a call setup if you decide to upgrade. For some reason, even people who’ve used voice a lot sometimes need to do this from time to time (tho it should remember all the settings – sometimes it seems to forget.)
You may find the problem just resolves on it’s own, but it can’t hurt to try the beta. You can always uninstall it if you don’t care for it or have issues.
