want to replace yahoo emote icons in trillian

Can anybody tell me how to use yahoo emote icons in trillian, because all my freinds uses yahoo messenger I use trillian.

Please help

The emoticons you use depend on the skin you’re using. There are a set of emoticons designed to look like whatever medium you’re talking over and uses the same keys, which is exactly what you’re after. You have two options:

1) Choose your favorite skin, and then check out this thread to try and work out how to apply the emoticons to it. If you have trouble you can post in that thread, but beware that this option is a bit tricky.

2) There is a skin called the Multi Client Pack designed so that AIM message windows look like AIM, Yahoo message windows look like yahoo etc that has these emoticons already installed. You can download and use this without hacking around (although this skin is still under development and may have bugs).

Note that due to a bug in trillian neither of these options will work perfectly, but this should be fixed in the next version. See this thread for more info.

what skin do u want to do this in?
the msn skin i have put in the seperate emotions for each medium.
icq has icq, yahoo has yahoos , etc:)

i went to that mulit skin pack and i tried to download it but it said file was corrupted or invalid. Did anyone else get that problem? Is there another skin like that, that I can download?

daisy0161: There are AIM and MSN imitation skins (including the one featured in bbb’s trillian centre), but there’s none other that actually have totally different windows for each medium. I forgot to mention that MCP is only for Trillian Pro, so if you don’t have that it won’t work. If you do you can post back and I can try to help with your problem, or you can just wait for an updated version (the skin is still being developed so it changes often).

quietbritishjim: I don’t have trillian pro so i guess what is why it doesn’t work with mine. I only use yahoo on trillian so I wanted something that looked like that because sometimes people will send me emotions from yahoo and I won’t know what they are because trillina doesn’t interpret them. But thanks for letting me know that.
