Is there any way to get rid of a warning level quickly, an idiot warned me up to 100% and i do not feel like waiting 2 days for it to go away.
Sorry, I do not know of a way. I don’t even think its possible.
k thanx
Yeah sure hack the regestry!
How is hacking the registry possible for getting your AIM warning level down? Isn’t your warning level and other such information kept on the AIM servers…

how do i hack the registry, my friends think that it is cool now to randomly warn people and my level is up to 100% constantly?
Sorry, I don’t know exactly where the key in the Regedit is located, but I’m in doubt that the warning level of your AOL Instant Messenger account is kept on your computer. I’d say just wait, don’t go and try to mess with anything.
As for your friends, either do not reply to your friend’s instant messages or just block them. Tell them that it is not cool and you won’t talk to them anymore of they continue to do it.
Also… a word to the wise. The only way someone can warn you is if you send them an IM. If they warn you once, but you stop sending them IMs, they can’t warn you again. Everytime you send them another IM (even something like “Why did you warn me?”) they can warn you again.
If you don’t want to be warned any more, stop replying or messaging that person.
There is no way to remove or reduce your warning level on your local computer. Your warning level, buddy icon, and buddy list are all stored on AOL’s internal servers… Like Jeff said, don’t talk to someone if they have warned you once, chances are they’ll do it again…
