MemberI having been chatting off and on for a year… Recently I got a webcam which I now know has been hacked. I recieved pictures of myself via email and im’s from strangers saying these pics are being passed around. I have blocked this user several times but he has a ton of names..I have changed my name but he always finds me. Now he is trying to coerce me into doing things for him on cam to stop.I have reported him to yahoo numerous times to no avail. I don’t know what to do..The pics aren’t bad but i still don’t want them being passed around. He is contacting my friends and saying horrible things to me to them and in rooms. What can I do. I use Yahelite because I was told this is safer but it’s not..Please help

ParticipantYou should make your cam open only to a selection list.
this can be done by going into your cam options in yahelite or cam preferences in messenger.
there is three options to a person on cam, always allow,to get asked for permission, only allow friends
what you need to do is tick the friends one and then tick option below this “if a user is not on my list, ignore all other requests to view my cam”
this will stop all anonymous and duff cam viewing if thats what they are doing.
if you have been infected with a trojan, i suggest updating your anti virus and checking your system, if you find your anti virus is not working properly, try googling a online anti virus engine.

MemberYou can try a yahoo add-on program called Ytunnel. It has more advanced webcam settings, for example automatically blocking anonymous requests, which might help in your case. This program isnt free tho and i’m not sure if it works with yahoo 8.0.
You said this user is finding you every time even after you changed your name. Did you make up a new account or just another profile? Either way, you should definitely check your system for trojans or keyloggers as Dermot suggested.Good luck and dont let that idiot bring you down 🙂
