I have a Toshiba Portege M750-S7212 Tablet PC and the latest AIM messenger. I tried to video chat with a friend but it didn’t work it either said one of us declined (when both of us actually accepted) or the invite session timed out??. I also have msn and my webcam works fine with msn but for some reason not on AIM.
any ideas???I rarely use AIM and not the video portion, but in WLM it clearly says which person didn’t accept. Does AIM give any indication of which side this error is on – you?n Or your contact?
well when i send an invite and she accepts it says that i declined and when she sends an invite and i accept it says that the invite session timed out??
I did a quick search and I didn’t find any widespread problems with this, however, connection issues like this can possibly be a result of your (or your contact’s) firewall blocking a request.
Can you and your contact please check to ensure AIM is completely allowed through your firewalls? If you connect via a router, you may also need to check to see that the necessary ports are open.
