When I am on AIM, for some ceirtain people it dosnt play the door sound, it plays this song, and im wondering if I can turn it off or something.
I’m not exactly sure what’s happening but I can guess…
If you want to remove the sign off sound completely, you can easily do that by going to preferences->Buddy List->Sounds and unchecking the appropriate boxand i’m not sure about this but my hunch is to fix it, you go to preferences->AIM Expressions and uncheck ‘Show AIM Expressions from others’
It’s because they have AIM expressions. And yes, follow plastidcells instructions to fix it by disabling AIM expressions from other people.
if you want you can choose to configure what sounds you want to use, instead of hearing your friends choosen sounds just go to the customize sound settings and the “play sounds below” option in the dropdown menu
from there you will be able to customize what sounds from the AIM sounds folder you want to use or browse where the sound file is that you want to play.
But for now it sounds like you have the default setting to accept your friends sounds.I hope this helps
