I would suggest Trillian…only because it looks really cool…and if u use yahoo…icq..aim..irc..etc as well..u can rum these in a same window…u don’t have to open a seperate window 4 everything!!
Faizan hit on the biggest advantage. If you regularly use AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ or IRC… Trillian lets you do it ALL with ONE program instead of loading two or three or more. It’s got a pretty nice interface, it’s skinnable (more than most IM programs).
It also lets you simultaneously connect with multiple accounts (2 or more MSN accounts, for example). This is sometimes called “cloning” but Trillian does it with one instance of the program, saving precious memory on your computer.
It also provides logging for all IM networks, notification options…much, much more.
There are two versions of Trillan; a free version and a “pro” version that costs $25 and includes some additional features. I’ve got the Pro version and I’m really happy with it. There are still times when I run the native IM applications, but for the most part, Trillian can do it all.
I tried Trillian, it’s really good but I couldn’t use my webcam in it (yahoo), there’s no support from what I can see.
I know that some people have gotten the Yahoo webcam working through Trillian, but not me. So it is technically possible.
It’s frustrating, but I don’t use the webcam feature enough to spend an hour tracking down the problem when the answer (for me) is as simple as loading the real Yahoo! Messenger program when I need it.
i think that the webcam function is only valid for the other version..(the one we buy)…but i am not sure!

You not “told off” but simply reminded that some information can cause more confusion than it can create help.
I aint been using Trillian too long, but one of the best things I have found about using it is, I can sign in on msn as invisible. I could never do that using just msn seperately. I like having the option to do that, if I choose.
By the way Faizan, I do have Trillian Pro (the commerical version), but I still haven’t been able to get the webcam functionality to work (although the option is there and it trys to work). I never get a picture.
I heard there is going to be a plug-in or a patch for this sometime in the near future for Trillian Pro.
:D:DHEY HEY WHAT CAN I SAY TRILLIAN IS THE BEST BY FAR BEEN USEING TRILLIAN FOR THREE YEARS AND THEY HAVE PATCHES WERE YOU NEED THEM TO WORK IF YOU ARE HAVEING A PROBLEM AND IF YOU HAVE TRILLINA PRO YOU GET FREE UPGRADES AND TROUBLE SHOOTING !!!!! Better then odigo which still hasnt got the yahoo running and there server is down and when there server is down you cant get on and all your info is on a back up threw them!!!!! There is a nother chat program that is a multipul IM called intergrity messager I just down loaded it two days ago and its msn isnt working so I have to say if you are a multipule user of yahoo msn icq irc and aol trills the one and the kewl skins and the emoticans with sound effects are so awsome its fun to use !!!!!!!!!!:D:cool::rolleyes:;):p I think if things dont work out with this odigo soon odigo is going going gggggggggggggggooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! I am sticking with trillian I dont have no problems on irc with trill either , but i do like to say i like to check out all the multipule chats and so far trill has my vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
