MemberThis year I am at home with hubby and our children and my parents come over. And some other family members.
Once they are all fed and watered and I have had a well deserved nap :0) My hubby and I and our kids go up the village to our friends for more food! lol
A perfect day.
New years is usually out at a party, etc.
What do you all do?

Participanthmm. let’s see. being a poor college student, my winter break will be spent working. and working. oh, and spending a ridiculous amount of money on “presents.” hopefully getting some decent stuff… all i asked for this year was CDs and DVDs, so it shouldnt be too hard to get those. oh yeah, then i’ll be working. probably getting in some work too. oh, i forgot i have to do (i think) 5 more volunteer hours so i can graduate.
hopefully hooking up with some friends for some semblance of a new years eve party, at which i’ll finally be legally able to have a real glass of champagne, instead of SHAMpagne. then back here to start my last semester of college.

ParticipantWell, mostly because it’s not a big holiday for my family. My brother and sister are agnostic, my mother and I are pagan and my other two brothers are “lutheran” in theory. With everyone’s schedual so crazy, there’s not a big draw to take time off when you can get double time for working on the holidays.
That and this way my older brothers can go spend time with their wives families on that day and not worry about hopping around so much. So, my mom fixes a day everyone has off in January and we have our togetherness time then. It’s basically just a reason to get together and have fun together…the day doesn’t really matter to us. *little shrug*
CD and DVD list eh, Tom? Yeah heheh, sounds like my brother’s list. Makes things easy though, and really nice for us all. He gets what he wants…we don’t have to take out a loan, heheh.

MemberWell I’ll be going to my Grandma’s on Christmas eve, where most of my family will be. We ussually view slides of pictures from my Grandma’s huge collection of photo-slides, then eat her almost famous Lasangna and open gifts.
After my Trip to Grandma’s I’ll be serving on the Altar (Yeah, Andrew-the-Altar-Boy) at 12:00 AM Mass, my mom will be singing in the Choir…
Then, back at my house to open gifts with my direct family (and my neice) on Christmas day.
For New Year’s, I’ll be staying at home with my family, eating Mozzerrella Sticks and Chips, waiting for the Ball to Drop. Then, I’ll wait for the Cops to
do-the-rounds for any naked-Drunks running down the streets at 12AM, like a few years ago. I just love my neighborhood…December 16, 2005 at 1:02 pm #134670RabidKitten
ParticipantSounds like a great holiday, Andrew!
*giggle* I think it’s going to be fun, Dragon. I mean… as if I’m not scary enough, I’m going to be all rockered out *puts up rocker hand sign* Word! At least, Ant thought I looked like a rocker when my buddy Run gothed me all up heheh. *nudges Ant*

Keymaster*Is nudged* Well you did! At least to me. Oh well anyway this Christmas I’ll be spending it with my family at my parents home, along with my brothers, and one of my brothers wife’s family. Should be cool. This is the first christmas in a long time where there will be little runts running around the place. Kids definitely know how to bring out the Christmas spirit more with all their enthusiasm.

I’m going back home to Manchester for Christmas so I’m going to spend some time with friends and family. And revise for January exams… Damn University, spoiling my Christmas… making me learn biology of cells… (muttering continues for a while…).

ParticipantI’m going to be right here at my house for Christmas. There is no place like home.
I am very excited for this particular Christmas because my older sister and brother-in-law are flying over from the bay area to visit us, and I don’t get to see them much. I love being with them. It’s not very often that the whole family gets to be together.
Have a Merry Christmashannukuhkwanza, peeps. 🙂
