MemberI’m downloading it right now…giving it a second chance.
I have to have a universal IM, because I’m not running “The Big Three” separately on my taskbar, to stay in touch with my friends.
Odigo dropped a lot of compatibility and other features a year ago…right around when they promised the release of 4.0.
The fat 3.6 also bogged down my internet connection, and forced me to log off/log on every hour or so.
I’m going to give this new, thinner 4.0 a try, and maybe comment on in here soon.

Member🙁 STEE-RIKE ONE!
First off, it only connects to AOL right now. It has options in the preferences for MSN and ICQ, but NOT Yahoo!
Since I had a Yahoo! account on it a year ago, my IM Preferences still showed that account in the list, but would not let me update it.
Currently, there are no streaming ads, but then again, Odigo may just be dormant, since there have been no posts on this or other boards.
I’ll let you know what ‘Tech Support’ says.
(Also doesn’t seem to have the “Rename” feature in the Contact List. Looks like I’ll have to remove and readd all my contacts to get the names to appear the way I want.)

MemberYeah, and they don’t have a Mac version. Maybe there weren’t as many Mac users…but there’s NONE now!!! Talk about killing your customers.

MemberTech Support says they currently don’t support Yahoo!, but will in the future.
Based on how long it took 4.0 to come out, I’ll look for other means.
Found an unbelievable 200KB (Yes, that’s 0.2 mB) file called EasyMessage (http://www.easymessage.net) that is a super universal IM.
OK. It doesn’t have ANY bells and whistles, but has pop-up notifications for all IM’s and POP mail, sounds, and simple contact management.
It is the bare-bones, but works better than any other universal IM I’ve come across (I personally don’t need all the gee-whiz geek stuff. EasyMessage suits me just fine).

MemberThe most annoying thing about all Odigo versions is that whoever writes them refuses to support multiple monitors (common feature since Windows 98 SE and especially on Windows XP). Most of us have far too many things running and eventually realized that it would be no good to our eyesight to keep making the fonts smaller, so assuming the computer has an AGP graphics card and a couple of old monitors are out there, it’s not very hard to plug in a couple of old PCI graphics card and let windows find them.
So Odigo (and ICQ) are the only major chat programs that dont like being moved to a secondary monitor. MSN not only goes there but stays there every time you restart it, Yahoo will not start in there but can be moved there. The only way to get Odigo in the second monitor is to resize the screen to 800×600 while its positioned in the right hand corner at 1600×1200 and that only works sometimes.

MemberI have tried using Odigo 4.0, it doesn’t let me sign on to MSN, ICQ, AIM and Yahoo. The web-based client used by Odigo is the only one I am able to use so I don’t think it is worth for me to keep.
EasyMessage is a little nice program, I am not currently using it now. I am waiting for the developers to improve it a little bit, then maybe I will use it more often.
