I was sending an offline IM to a friend. Then, another box popped up with my main screenname which this friend also knows. Both boxes had some kind of error message…..said connection was lost……then it said “Buddy Pounce–I am online.”
WHAT does this mean? What is buddy pounce and why would my friend have it? He connects mainly on his treo if that helps. I looked up “buddy pounce” and from what I saw it seems to be used to combine ALL your IM methods, names, etc. which I’m finding odd considering I’m supposedly the only person on his list, etc. Hmmmmm
Thanks for any clarification. 🙂 Melissa
Looks to me, your friend was running some type of booter perhaps?
I have no clue. He says it’s his Treo phone and that buddy pounce is a feature of verichat. If I send an offline sometimes his phone will send me an error message. This time it sent me what I guess buddy pounce shows him…..saying “I am online.” Was just weird and I’d never heard of buddy pounce. thanks 🙂
