What servers do you use to connect to the IRC network. If one is not listed in the Poll, feel free to post which server you use.

True , I forgot to add an option in the case that users might not be using IRC. One has been added. Thanks for the catch detn8r.

i don’t use IRC i heard it was full of viruses and no1 i know uses it

Me and my friends have our own private channel on EFNet we use to chat. They chose EFNet because having a three letter chan there is supposed to be l33t. Well I’m sure it’s a great network for meeting people since it’s so big, but for your own private chan I think it’s rubbish… you can’t register nicks, there are no chanservs, short topic lengths etc etc

Im on undernet, i dont like any other servers, i started on undernet and ill quit on undernet. I went on dalnet once by mistake back when i first started chatting, and then again a few years ago, back the first time nobody was friendly and never said a word to you, the second time it was the same way. Undernet ppl are friendly, at least the channels i go on. I dont go on those 200+ channels eihter, seems like no one talks or when they do my god. I go on 4 channels and im an op in 3 of them. Now that dalnet is down we are getting ppl coming over from there to undernet, it sucks.

I just wonder when 6.04 is going to come out, and how many after that. Gotta ask, how many people have actually ever paid the 20 dollars?

Hehe, contrary to popular belief mirc is not the only program you can use to connect to IRC. Others (for Windows) include Trillian (my favorite ;)), bitchx, bersirc, hydra IRC and countless others.
Edit: and there are loads more listed in the IRC – Frequently Asked Questions sticky in this forum.

Oh i know there is, i only use Mirc though, no need to use the rest. How does trillian work for you for Mirc? Last i heart it still had some problems with it. Friend of mine has the bitchX never heard of the rest of those though.

Wow just went to the FAQ for it on here, wow didnt know there were so many different ways to get on. Didnt know it was made in 88 and not by khaled either hehehe.
