MemberI’m more of a PS2 fan. It has most of the games that I love. Of course, there’s always the GBA. 🙂 Sims on the road, I can’t wait!

MemberOnly children play consoles. Professional gamers, ESPECIALLY online gamers know that the PC is far, FAR superior than ANY console, even game developers will tell you that. It can do anything a console can do 10x better, AND more. tell me something…can u surf the web on a console, how bout check ur mail…or post on a forum? Can you upgrade any peice of hardware individually on a console? Can you print, record video and audio, can you even word process?….No, you can’t. The graphic processors and resolution on a comp is rediculous…give you an idea of what I mean.
The best console spec wise is the Xbox. It has a CPU of 733Mhz, a graphics processor of 233Mhz, a memory bandwidth of 6.4GB/sec, it’s polygon performance is 116.5M/sec, it can render 4 simultaneous textures, and is capable of a max resolution of 1920×1080
My computer is running a 2Ghz CPU, has a graphics processor of 380Mhz, a memory bandwidth of 22.4GB/sec, a polygon performance of 380M/sec, and can render 16 simultaneous textures with a max resolution of 2048×1536…AND computer hardware is upgradeable without having to buy a whole new system.
In conclusion…My computer rapes an Xbox. Go with a computer, there’s so much more you can do.

Can you get viruses on a console?
Can you buy a decent PC and 5 games for less than a grand?
Can you play with 4 other friends in the same room with no lag on a single PC?
Can you sit on your couch, in your living room and comfortably play your PC?I didn’t think so……. 🙂

Can you get viruses on a console? No, but what does that have to do with gaming? I don’t get any viri on my PC. I think you can get a virus on XBox though, it does have a Hard Disk.

Yes; if you knew how cheap you can get computer components you’d know you sure as hell can.
Can you play with 4 other friends in the same room with no lag on a single PC?
No, but how often do you do that? Play online, at any giving time thousands are logged into Gaming networks.
Can you sit on your couch, in your living room and comfortably play your PC?
Yup, I have a wireless keyboard and mouse and a TV-Out port on my Video card
I didn’t think so……. 🙂
Wrong buddy.

True dat!
I hate game controllers, Give my my Logitech mouse, keyboard and joystick and I’m good to go (And they don’t hurt your hands! :):))
I built my PC for $900 (Its far more than decent, or anything you need for games)
1GB of DDR400Mhz RAM
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (I OC’ed it to 2.5GHz)
Giga-Byte GA-7VAX Motherboard with the VIA KT400 Chipset
Dual 120GB HDDs – Maxtor 7200RPM
52X32X52X CD-RW
16X DVD
Thermaltake Xaser /// Case -Blue
560WT PSU
Thermaltake Volcano 11 Xaser Edition CPU Fan
12 Case Fans
nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 128Mb AGP 8X (OK, I realize my Video card kind of sucks, but it doesn’t lag at all in any games so who cares?)
Logitech MX700 Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
Samsung SyncMaster 753DF 17″ Flatscreen
Logitech Speakers (I don’t remember the model number and I don’t feel like getting to the floor to look at the woofer)
Windows XP Professional Full Version
Norton AntiVirus 2003I think that’s it.
