I noticed “Global Moderators” and “Moderators” now…have I been asleep..this hasn’t always been here has it?

You are correct, this hasn’t always been here. We added this feature yesterday. A moderator is assigned to specific forums, while a global moderator can moderate all across BigBlueBall. That is the only difference really.
