Thought I would test the new Movie Room:
What’s your favorite movie Genre?
I would have to say sci-fi, and my favorite sci-fi movie is a tie between Equalibrium and the first Matrix.
Ya, I removed Other and put that in. If anyone wants to list another genre just post it =) Or suggest one it should replace, since I am having trouble deciding.
Action, definately! I am big for action movies, watching all the fighting and action on screen just arouses me. 😀

Maybe it is too hard for people to decide their favorite genre? I like a little from all the categories, but if I must choose a fav..I’d say action comedy (it is suspenseful and funny, how could you lose?)
I chose horror. Although I like horror/thriller. Obviously I like comedy, but if I had to pick, horror is the one from the list. I think its the suspense element in the films, because you can make a really good, critically acclaimed horror film without it being gory (Texas Chainsaw Massacre for example, not full of gore). Then of course, you have reasonably (but not overly gory) films, such as the first Nightmare On Elm Street. Wes Craven said, “you only need to be shockingly gory once, after that you don’t need to go overboard”. Thats probably indicated in the opening of Scream.
