MemberThey are probably using buddy spy or some other online checker to check your online status.

Membercan you tell me ..if i didnt deny or accept his request to add me under an alias name , say i just closed the yahoo out ..would it automaticlly let him add me to his list? Really that is something Yahoo needs to address, no one should be albe to add you unless the request is accepted.

MemberIf you didnt accept or deny it, I think it stays on his list pending acception. If its still pending it will still show you as coming on or off, but i think if you put him or her on ignore or if you are invisible, you shouldnt be seen, unless of course as Migs said he put you on his list with an alias that you dont know.

MemberI’ve had the same experience. Rec’d buddy invites, which I neither accepted or declined, I just clicked the window closed. Then later found out that I’d been added to their list. To ensure that you’re not added you have to go the extra step and click deny.

I tried it with a friend (see pic), and seems clear to me you CAN’T close that window with neither choice selected.
And by default it is set to “Accept”, so if you “ACCEPT” that and click “Finish”, or simply exit YM, then of course it WILL Accept.I don’t feel it’s too bad of Yahoo to make that the default. If you’re concerned about such things, just READ such windows before clicking. 😉
Or am I missing something here ?

Memberwell,..if this person can see you log on and off even when you have them on ignore..chances are that he/she has “elite”.This lets you see ppl who are invisible,i dont really know how to get elite although ive heard so much about it..but some of my friends have it and they can see me when i get online even when im invisible,so yes,its possible . It sucks tho..if anyone figures out a way to get elite ,pls let me know…
