Hi, ALL!
I have downloaded the YM messenger with voice. When i go to yahoo chatrooms and right click on an ID to view his/her profile, nothing happens. It doesnt launch another browser to give me the profile page I want. Same thing happens when i’m chatting with someone and I go to contact options to view profile. 🙁
Also, i cannot load IMvironment. Same with games and news at my YM window. I think, anything that requires launching another browser does not work with me anymore. Coz other things like audibles, voice chat, etc… work. My avatars are working again, thank god!
Can i do something about it? I’m not a techie person so please teach me how to go about it in the simplest possible way.

did you experienced this problem only AFTER installing the messenger you are using? what solutions have you tried so far?
I have encountered a bug in Yahoo 7 Beta when I try to view profiles of people from the chat window. It hasnt been fixed in the latest version yet. If someone has a nickname, like say “Yo!”, and i try to right click and select view profiles, what happens is this: My browser opens up, but instead of going to his/her profile, it says “The user Yo! does not exist”. I would have to right click on the chatters list on the right and then view their profile without errrors.
But Sirena’s problem and mine dont have anything in common, just mentioning the bug I encountered :p. Sirena, I think you’d have to uninstall messenger completely and install it again. Go to control panel > Add/remove programs and delete all the yahoo stuff. Then go to C:Program Files and delete the Yahoo! folder. Go to http://messenger.yahoo.com and download it again. Install it and enjoy.
_m3nt4l_, i did as u suggested, but the same thing happened..can’t still view profile by right clicking on the contacts or chatter’s ID. 🙁
miGs, i hv not done any solution except do the above suggestion.
did not hv this problem with the old YM…or maybe something is wrong with my pc? i dont know… i’m clueless.

i have removed and then reinstalled YM with Voice earlier today. I CANNOT still view profiles, launch IMvironment, click on games or news at the yahoo messenger window. Now i found out that i cant view my avatar ANYMORE but my chatmate can. My audibles are lost, too. When i click on the icon, its now empty… no pictures n sounds.
My share picture in the display window is working fine i think…
And now, the YM freezes (not responding) and then closes. Maaannn, what have i done wrong???? :((
Audibles and Avtars use flash player. Probably yours is corrupt or something. Goto the Macromedia website and download it again.
Sirena, did you delete the Yahoo! folder in the C:/Program Files? I suggest, deleting it upon uninstalling the Y!M application. Reboot then install a new copy of Y!M.
Also, this is related to security but i also suggest getting the latest update for IE since your current IE might have some errors due to some IE flaws. Well its worth the try.
I notice that ever since Yahoo 9.0, I can’t see the date of when people’s Yahoo Messenger profiles were updated anymore and the layout looks different.
